I was cutting patches with a 1 5/16 hole saw sharpened to a razor edge for my 50 and a friends 54,worked well.
I was stacking and threading 48 at a time and dunking them in my lube, heated,and then squeezing the excess out.
worked for me.

Yep, that's what I use. Just make sure it's 100% cotton though and don't open the charcloth lid until it's cool of it'll burn up right then and there.
Also, I never wash any of my patchin', does it make that much of a difference? I know that they put sizing into the cloth but I figure it'd be ok to shoot it with it in the cloth. Will it make it a bit thicker or thinner washing and drying it before use, or does it change it at all other then getting the sizing out? :hmm:
 
I've used mine both washed and unwashed . Washed ticking is more supple and a little easier to use . As far as its effect on accuarcy , I don't notice any difference .
