Mrs BPMS & I recently visited northwestern Pennsylvania for a FREE Black Powder shoot hosted by Abe's General Store. Those o' crack shot Pennsylvania shooters had fun shooting the fingers off o' BigFoot!
The NMLRA graciously donated lots of back issues of Muzzle Blast magazines for the crowd to take home and a box of paper targets for the event.
I took a smoothbore & a percussion pistol for shooters to try on the trail. Started at 10:30am & quit at dark. I loaded that smoothbore well over 100 times with no swabbing, used 2 flints and was ready to put the 3rd one on 1/2 hour before dark. I only shot the gun once all day.
The percussion pistol was also loaded 70+ times for ladies, grandmas, kids and anyone else that wanted to try black powder shooting....some for the very 1st time. The smiles on their faces when they hit the targets were PRICELESS.
Mrs. BPMS was my camera operator and during the course of the day...we tried to catch everyone walking the trail somewhere on film.
I met sooo many wonderful folks that follows the BPMS channel at this event & didn't get to shoot with all of them. That was the only BUMMER!
Enjoy:
