polishing the bore ?

I melt buffing compound (Red Rouge) on a bore mop and lap the bore with it. But I don’t do that often, only if I’m getting rust on my patches.

Yes, its a wax bar, that I melt and dip a bore mop in. Once it dries I lap out the the barrel.

Thks, I have a lot in my workshop since the time I was working with that stuff, I have white, green, rose and brown too. I'll try this for an old barrel I have to clean up...
