Picked up this .54 Lyman GPR back in December. Never shot a muzzleloader before that. Been out hunting a few times with it and had missed twice before this evening. I was flinching and lifting my head I think. This ol flintlock is a whole different ballgame compared to all my modern firearms!
Haven’t played around with It too much yet but settled quickly on 70gr of Schuetzen FFF behind a Speer .535 ball and an .018 patch.
She was standing at roughly 40yds away and when the smoke cleared there she laid! Haha.
I’m hooked for the remainder of my life!
