Here’s something that might be of interest to some folks who wear prescription bi-focals, and then have difficulty seeing the sights clearly when the head is down and you’re looking out through the upper part of the bi-focals”¦these are a reusable, stick-on / peel-off lens in different diopters”¦since they’re ”˜soft’ I assume they could even be cut to fit the upper area of the dominate sighting eyeglass”¦no personal knowledge of them, just saw it and thought I’d post it.

These come in different diopters (I think mine are +1.5)and from several diffeent suppliers and very different prices. They work well and aren't too expensive.

Roundball,
You must have been thinking about me and my 61 year old eyes that can't find the front sight without help. This might prove to be of more help then all the eye doctors I've been to. The eye doctors always want to trade eyes with me cause they claim mine are better than theirs. Hell I had 20/15 vision when I was a young combat soldier. Sure wish it was still that way.

Guess I should have looked at the web site before I ran my mouth off. Not going to work for me with a ML. Should work for my fishing sunglasses. I need way less power than what they offer to see the front sight. Even +1.25 is too much for me. +1.00 is what I need. I saw some clip on flip down lens in Champion Shooters catalog the other day. Only $20.00, think I will order them and just flip 'em down when I need to pull the trigger.

thanks fot the info I'm haveing trouble w/my right eye (shooting eye) and this may help keep me away from a smoothbore awhile longer.

:v Also there is a device called the Merit Optical disk---which is attached to your lens by a small suction cup and has an adjustable iris that will help clear up your sight picture for you. Don't give up hope as I had to switch from right to left eye shooting International Free Pistol. until my opthamologist said I needed cataract surgery---they did both eyes.. I still need my Champion Glasses to sharpen the iron sights on the pistol..BTW a small power corrective lens makes my iron sighted ML'ers seem like I have someone elses eyes.I have worn glasses since 4 years of age and at 78 I only need glasses to read. Have Hope---try the Merit, it works my friend. :hatsoff:

Yes, the hole in a piece of electrical tape...the merit discs, etc...are all kicked around on the forum pretty regularly. This was a new item that offers a different alternative...simply posted it in case someone might like to try another way.

Hey
What RB said. I made shooting glasses by drilling a 3/32 hole in a plastic safety glasses and it worked real well. I blackened it with a little spray paint.

roundball, if they made those in a .50/75,that would be great thing, for sure.

you want at least 1 and below to see sights good and still see target good too.

if anyone comes accross a stick on bi-focal that is 1 and under,PLEASE let us know.

i just contacted them, they dont make a .50/75 one which is what you want but if they do, maybe they will want someone to test it out.

ROUNDBALL, YOU INTERESTED IN TESTING THOSE POWERS IF THEY DECIDE ITS WORTHWHILE TO DO.
