I have a 56 t/c renegade with a 1 inch octagon barrel and im wondering if a 54 cal t/c 1 inch octagon barrel will fit right on?

it will fit. occasionally the underrib will hit the fore-end & ya either hafta shorten the rib maybe an 1/8th inch or file a small notch in the fore-end. also, it's pretty rare but, once in a great while ya might get one where the hammer needs to be tweaked a smidge for alignment with the nipple.

1"Hawken and Renegade barrels will interchange, as will 1" Cabelas " Investarms" and Lyman Trade rifle. Some work may need to be done to places like the breech wedge from barrel to barrel.

Yes there is/can and will be Stupid questions,, Like forinstance: "That is the tenth time Ive done (put something here)exactly the same way, and it still doesn't work", Stupid question time,,"Why"?

"stupid Q's"

I learned fixed cartridge reloading before Al gore invented the internet. Bet I wore out 11 kinetic bullet pullers.

There's no such thing as a dumb Q. We'd all rather you ask than experience misadventure.

I've been doing bp since 1981 and still learn something here each week.

FWIW, a .54 T/C bbl I won @ auction ($70) dropped right into my .56SB's stock w/o any issues.

.

A person never "wins" an auction, you just paid more than anyone else was willing to pay on the internet.

Not really - The bbl was on a "no reserve" auction.

I entered the (low) 1st, and as it turned out the only, bid. :rotf:
