It has the easier style trigger guard so I believe it is one of the 1795 series but the lack of comb makes me think it's later, 1808? Sorry, I don't usually deal in US guns. What got my interest was the use of a modified Pottsdammagazin musket lock model 1740, probably in America from the Revolution. It has what appears to be a US model 1863 hammer but the shape isn't quite right and instead of a shield it is hand filed. That's what makes me wonder if it was Confederate used where they slapped an older but functional lock on an earlier US musket with a Civil War style hammer. It's an interesting parts gun. Wish it could talk. Barrel is shortened to 36". I had thought to stretch the stock back out and make an artillery carbine. $350 plus shipping from Covington VA 24426
