Try as I might, could not get some decent pics of the Bill Williams rondy doings.

They let the public in every day, and it was often just a sea of vehicles, Porta Potty's, "I Love L.A." tee shirts, shorts & halter tops, even on the firing line and hawk throws. :shake:

Wife took these after we had moved to another location after the rondy. For some reason she was snap, snap, heavy on me trying to get a pipe going.

I think I seen ya there, I was there for not more than an hour Sat. morning, poor doins in my book. If'd I'd recognized ya I's said Howdy. Did ya get any bunnies?

Hey Desert Rat, sorry I missed you, would have liked to have confabbed a bit.

Have to agree with your summation on the affair for a rondy, was pretty sad, don't think I will be repeating in the future. And that mess across the road was a bit hard to take, we ATV a lot, but that bunch were in general a bunch of capital A-HOLES.

Yep, took three cottontail after wife & I moved down FS 354 to trailhead at 3209 trail. I gilled, gutted and skinned before coming back to camp, (photos linked here were taken at that time) wife said pics of them would not have been too cool, but they sure were good fried up with biscuits and gravy. The 3209 trail is pretty neat, great vistas of scenery and game everywhere. Will post some pics over in non-muzzleloading section later.

Thanks Undertaker, the smoking was black Cavendish, and if I had espied Hefner PB bunnies, the hunt would have really been on, first, me for them, then the wife loaded for bear after me. :rotf: :rotf:

Thanks all for the comments. Wife was going to just take a couple, and then kept on clicking,

Excellent pics.
Gave me some good ideas for what I need to get for myself.
Thanks T.

Thanks, the leggings and haversacks (made two, larger one shown) are made from a Russian flax canvas welding blanket sold at Harbor Freight. I bought two of the 6'x8' blankets, one I am going to use for a diamond shelter, they are now priced at 30 bucks apiece.

They are too coarse for next to skin clothing, as they contain a few small woody stem pieces in the fiber, which IMO, only adds to the authenticity of the fabric.

Tan,

Great gear, great tobacco, great country! I use Homedepot painter's tarps for shirts and bags. Thanks for posting.

Cheers
Kevin

The painter's tarps make for good gear, I have an old fly shelter made from one and also used material from it as a semicircle heat reflector for throwing some warmth back from the fire into the shelter during cold weather.

My shirt is made from a fairly heavy coarse linen. I have got a hunters frock, but seldom use it here in AZ, as in the heat tis a bit much except in the winter. Although I have seen times when the old wool match coat felt pretty good.
