I’m a ffffg user and my addiction requires three push’s as well .

Are you saying you use 9 grains of priming powder? I have a 3 grain dispenser and just use one push, seems to work fine but am I getting slower ignition because of it?

You shouldn't be getting slower ignition with 3 grains of priming powder in the pan. The powder should be distributed evenly over the bottom of the pan. The touch hole should be 1/16" (0.0625") or maybe a #50 (0.070"). A tiny chamfer on the touch hole may help also. Do you have a touch hole liner with an internal cone? How long is the flash channel from the touch hole to the powder charge? I need more information about your rifle to hopefully better answer your question.

So. I am a bit on the lazy side, and I like things to work when I need them to. I found out the a short piece of a pipe cleaner inserted into the valve when its in my bag to be good insurance. Pull the pipe cleaner and three pushes in the pan. Also keeps any possible powder spills out of my hunting bag.

I have a Kibler SMR. I don’t feel like I’m having ignition problems with just three grains of 4F priming. I was just wondering if I was using too little.

I'd only add a little more powder if there was a noticeable delay in ignition. A bigger help would be to open up the touch hole. If you are not noticing ignition problems, then I think you have the right charge of powder in the pan.
