I have a horn I got years ago that leaks air when you blow threw it. Would like to seal it if I can. What would be the beast way? Thank you for any help. It would be nice to keep the powder dry. Mark

Use a heat-gun and beeswax. Add wax around the junction between the plug and horn and use the heat-gun to melt the wax and allow it to flow into the seam. Allow to cool and test. Be careful not to burn your horn. Repeat as necessary.

No powder in it. I would not use heat with powder. I did do as was suggested, wax and heat gun and it worked.Holds air so the powder should stay dry. Thanks to all that offered help. Mark

That is how I seal all my horns, bees wax and heat the put some /very little pressure in the horn to push the wax into the holes, let it cool and go hunting

I have put the bees wax inside the horn and used a heat gun to heat the area just above the top of the plug melting the wax internally .

Once the horn surface is heated enough to melt the wax just rotate the horn so the melted wax flows completely around the plug creating an air tight seal.
