Yup, it's fine. There are some that worry that the steel drum and other ferrous parts might cause ignition.
I'd think the mfgrs. are aware that sparks are bad even for smokeless, so they're probably Ok. It does seem to intrude upon the idea of traditional muzzle loading, though, but when you get into that precise target-world, people get really finicky.
