Ya hanshi, for years all that mattered was having "some powder" to last the season.
Now with people worried and over-buying we are all paying more attention to powder
and the details surrounding it. In these forums we split hair on powders and enjoy
commenting on them. In reality, when we shoot just about any black powder and
witness the power of it, our doubts tend to vanish. Of course, we want the best for
our money and Swiss is wonderful as is the GOEX OE for our reserve stocks. But for
ringing steel , just making smoke or hunting, old plain GOEX is fine. And the Graf's house brand
is now supplied by GOEX at reduced prices. People split hairs with chronographs and
such, but in reality the power of Black Powder is to be highly respected. I for one would
not want to be the backstop for a ball powered by any dry Black Powder out there.
