Powder Horn #57 ("Powhatan Horn") is just completed and waxed, ready to go home, somewhere.
The horn is a Left-side carry, measuring 10" from spout to Poplar base plug that is 2.25" high and 2" across. The spout is Octagon-to-round with a double ring for your carry strap. The base staple is a little forged one I made.
The border working gave me eye strain but came out well I think. The map shows the Powhatan Chiefdom around the Chesapeake Bay area from about 1609 (from a map I referenced).
I like this horn and know that it's owner will be quite happy either displaying or wearing it (or both!).
