I just wanted to shoot a recommendation for @DaveHasler and the beautiful work that he does. I recently acquired a longhunter bag and commissioned Dave to create a “rabbit and beagle” scene on the flap and to create an attached leather sheath for an old knife that I had.
With no more instruction than that, he created this beautiful piece of art and included the name of my hometown in Illinois. His attention to detail is impeccable. The tree trunks follow the deep grain of the leather, and it’s just fantastic stuff.
