I recently acquired a muzzleloader that is quite unique. It is a 30 caliber that is in relatively good shape. I friend of mine reviewed it, and replaced a spring, and shot it, and it was very accurate! It has CTB stamped into the barrel, and it appears that it has been converted from a flintlock to percussion. Is there a source to help find out the history behind this gun? Any help would be appreciated. As you can tell from ky post, I know very little about this type of gun, so please excuse my limited knowledge.

Your best bet is to post some up close, good pictures of the gun. Lock markings, inside and out if possible, any cartouches or stamps in the stock and barrel markings are all clues.
