I don't know... The men of the South tried that once before. Had a sympathetic Sec. of War who sent his subordinate on an unnecessary tour of European arsenals and stuffed Southern armories with as many new guns as he could before Fort Sumter. They took Harper's Ferry and guns from the British.

Yet still look what happened THAT time...

You are very welcome. Your recent journey into wheelock puffers was beautiful. It would have been a welcome addition to the Graz arsenal. By the way, the modern name for the town of Guns in Hungary is Kozseg. The town is less than 60 miles from Graz and emphasizes the importance of the Graz arsenal. Search for the siege of guns or siege of kozseg. It is worth the read.
