So so True, I don’t think any government should withhold the right to keep and bear Arms.

Fur Fin & Feather in North central Ohio was asking $13.95 for a tin of 100. Damn thieves, didn't buy any, won't buy anything there again.
I can remember paying $1.00 a for tins of 100 from DGW back in the late '70's! They were corrosive of course, but you have to clean your gun anyway so...? Wait till the next round of inflation kicks in. I recently priced a 5lb lot of Swiss from Powder Inc. Including the Hazmat rip-off and shipping, $40/lb!

WOW a Dollar that’s so cool, But you are right about the hazmat with the shipping for the Swiss that’s a SIN . One can only say Why Why Why. I have been wanting to get some Swiss also it’s been a while since I used it and my groups were outstanding with it, but I either can’t find it or like you said it’s pricey by the time it’s said and done.

Found these at a rummage sale today 41349BB2-BF37-496E-B203-AD2F341634C1.jpeg

It looks like #10 and #11 Precusion Caps are starting to trickle in here and there, Cabelas and Bass Pro have them and a few little mom and pop shops around me have them. How about in any one else’s neck of the woods.

Yes, one of my favorite local shops (Larry's - Nampa) has Winchester magnum #11 percussion caps. I love 'em, haven't had a misfire since I started using them. I left some for the locals but I stocked up for myself....... :thumb:

Those should last me for a long time saw some old fishing poles and decided to stop and take a look.

Bassdog1 you just never know what you can find, stoping to take a look at some fishin poles sure hit the jack pot for you. That’s great…JamesA I haven’t seen Winchester caps for a long time this is good, All right….

Even a case of 25 goes for close to $30. I bought 25 LBS of KIK powder some years ago when it was around $15 a lb! Still have around 22-3 LBS left. I'm set for a while. I also have 1500 #11's - give or take. If the revolution starts, I'm ready! lol

Yes you are Bergman, I to have never heard of the Navy Arms or Hot Flash caps before that’s pretty cool bassdog1.

So so True, I don’t think any government should withhold the right to keep and bear Arms.
I celebrated the inauguration of our new political leader by purchasing 75 lbs. pure KN03, to be followed by pure S, and airfloat Willow charcoal.
All for the farm, by the way, none of these fertilizers and plant foods are regulated. I am developing a sudden driving interest in rock polishers too. I fear the old tried and true percussion doubles may have to give way to a flinter, procurement of caps being the only weak link in the chain.

If I could only buy a pallet skid full of everything, with fork lift of course. It’s not that I am stockIng up I just remember all the years of crummy bad idea so called presidents of our country. Trying to stay a step ahead Of the game.

Sadly, me too. I seek only to keep enough components on hand to continue my life uninterrupted. I completely ignore the powers that be, because I do not know, nor can I find any effective way to combat them. Americans are following this new path like a blind ox to slaughter IMO.

This is so true, The new powers that are in charge are seeking to destroy and disarm. And like you said were trying to keep our interest above water and make sure we have the components at hand That we need.

I in all my wisdom will never, ever understand you folks!!! EVER!!!!
You had 4 years with reasonable prices on guns from ak47's to muzzlleloaders, primer and percussion caps up the ying yang, black powder by the tons, and everything else related to our shooting sports and hunting, whether muzzleloaders or CF, and you wait until a communist is installed in the WH, and wonder what happened!!!:eek::eek::eek:

You never know what’s around the corner, I don’t have a crystal ball to tell me what’s ahead therefore when times were good things are on the shelf and you buy when you need to. There was no sense in trying to stock pile therefore things suck now and you have to do what you have to do, that’s just how it goes.

You don't have to be clairvoyant to see when a wrecking ball is coming at you.....

When you walk down a path blindly....you may not like what you run in to!
When you walk with your eyes open...you may avoid the obstacle..
I'm no philosopher but that is exactly what millions did. You might ignore the powers that be, but they don't ignore you. You can't combat them alone, but when you give up, they got ya!

I have too many interests. I could stock ahead for some, but I couldn't stock ahead for everything because I didn't own a warehouse, and I wasn't born a trust child. As it stands I was in good stead except for caps. Now I could use a lot of #10 for the revolvers, that is about it. My obscure early cartridge breechloaders, however, are another matter. Brass that can easily be converted for some of them at a reasonable price is a thing of the past. All this is meaningless anyway. The stocking up, the hoarding is a band aid on a sucking chest wound. The hostile and uncalled for gun policies coming into place in America are the problem. Brought on by those who will neither forgo having children nor commit any time to teaching the ones that they have anything of value. IMO
