OK, "pretty boy" is the rifle, not me...I built this gun last spring using a T/C hawken barrel, lyman lock & some cva parts. the stock is from pecatonica river with silver inlays from log cabin shop. It not only looks good, but WORKS! I shot this nice 94lb spike buck at 9:30 this morning from about 50 yards away, with 70 gr. of 3f and a 275 gr. maxi hunter. this is only my 2nd blackpowder deer, first was with a flinter but this is sweet cuz it's with a gun I made!

Nice work on the rifle. Did you shoot that deer in Cheshire Co. ?

Nice shootin'! I most deffinitely like the personal touches you put on that rifle. It looks great! Nice finish.

Way to go my friend. I look forward to seeing the gun at the SVT Primitive Biathlon.
I bet you that deer will taste good with some onions.

yup, over in fitzwilliam, webb hill road. you know the area?

I have hunted some around Richmond NH and Warwick, MA. Nice area with a good amount of unposted backwoods. Wish I had more time to get out that way.
