Well it was the same as last year so 40$ a lb for sheutswan and 51 for Swiss .

I got lucky and picked up some from Old Ugly as he liquidated his kit. It's going to be a PITA when I need to get some more, it seems.

Might not be all that hard to get some, but you probably won't like the price or have any choice in what's available. The few gun shows I've been to over the last few years, there's always something. And sometimes with unreasonable prices.

About $40, pays to order a bunch or go in with some buddies. And yes they can ship BP.

I got mine from Rayner Shine Gunworks in Sask, a year ago, $40. Havent talked to him since.

Didn't see any BP at the Lethbridge gun show on the weekend, unless I missed it. Think I saw 2 flintlocks amongst all the black plastic rifles.

Glad I didn't go, which gun shows in AB do you generally find to be a bit more black powder friendly?

I only go to the Lethbridge/Fort Macleod/Pass shows....none of which have much BP stuff.

Sure glad I stocked up in the 90s. The can Im using this year says $5 on it.
I do have a few cans at $7, but after having so much, I stopped buying them at that outrageous price.

I couldn't even lawfully own enough black powder to last me 2 years, let alone 30.

Depends on the state. Most sellers will want you to buy 5 pounds. We used to buy 4 cans of 3F and one can of 4F.
Here in washingrad they made it illegal to transport it via truck. Since I dont have any shipped in any more, I do not know what the current laws are.

as bad as BP costs, Hodgdon smokeless is 65.00 a pound! glad i don't need any!
just put another half kilo of BP in the tumbler.
