I pulled it out of the safe this morning and checked, yes it does have the three hole tang.

I had both, Renegade and Hawken in .54 flints. The Hawken has the 28" barrel vs 26" of the Renegade. Beyond the furniture, I found the Hawken stock has a bit more drop.
Great gun!
