So, just wanting some opinions on what y'all think on asking price for this little rifle. It looks like a T/C stock with a Green Mountain .32cal drop in barrel. It looks to be in fine shape and the individual is asking $600 + $30 shipping. Is that a good price? No rust on it anywhere and the ramrod is generic.

I think it is worth the asking price.
I'm giving it some serious consideration as it would make a great little squirrel gun. Going to a gun show tomorrow so, waiting 'til after that as I may find something there and won't have to worry about all that shipping nonsense.:)

That's pretty close to what a Traditions Crocket rifle would cost new. I have a couple of T/C cap locks and they are fine rifles, but then again my Crocket is pretty nice also. It's not a great deal in my opinion, but that's close to what they are going for these days.

A Crocket has a 3/4” barrel, the Seneca and Cherokee 13/16ths and they’re a dream to walk around with.
I’ve never seen a factory Seneca in .32 but there are a few. I bought a Seneca a few years ago with an aftermarket.32 barrel on it.

I had one just like that for years. Fun to shoot. Very accurate at 25 yds. OK at 50. When I got the barrel with another TC 50cal Hawken it had been neglected. I recently sent the .32 GM barrel to Robert Hoyt and he bored it to .40 cal with round bottom. It shoots great. If the bore on mine was better I would not have had it rebored. My barrel is 15/16 28 inches long, and as a .32 the weight was manageable. It is even better as a .40. I have a 1 inch .36 cal 28 inches in a Hawken stock. It is a little heavy but well balanced. Shoots great.
In my .32 I shot a .311 ball, .012 patch with 28 Grains of 3f black powder. I sometimes used 3f Triple 7 for less fouling. It looks like it is in good shape. If the barrel is good it may be worth the asking price in todays market.

Mine is a Cherokee stock with a Douglas .40 round ball barrel. I paid something like $540.00 plus shipping for it and never regretted it. I also had some competition bidding on it and won it by five bucks. That was 7 years ago so, with prices being much higher now, I'd say it's worth it if that's what you want. Let us know how it shakes out. With squirrel hunting pics please... 😁

It's in another state and wish I could heft it first. I may get fortunate at tomorrows gun show and not have to consider this one at all!😁

Thanks! The one I'm going to is known to be one of the best gun shows on the west coast. They have a large variety of things but, Anti American Oregon is trying to kill our 2A rights. So, not sure how things are going to be tomorrow but, hoping for good results.

If the bore is good at $630 including shipping your not going to get hurt. This being said it looks to me the gun either started lfe as a kit or its been refinished. You might find a .32 bore in a 15/16" barrel a bit heavy. As for the Green Mountain drop in barrel, discontinued I believe, asking prices are typically North of $300. Not too long ago I paid about $650 for a T/C Seneca with a Douglas .45 barrel and I'm happy with the deal.

My first thought when I saw the barrel was that it looked more like a bull barrel for target shooting. Altogether it looks more like a deer rifle to me more than a squirrel rifle. If you have a short walk to sit for tree rats it should be fine. If I were walking far and wanting quick shots it seems a bit heavy for that.
