Did it take much set?

:hmm: I may have to go and find a young Hickory and make another bow... I do need some more ramrod material too :haha:
 
None that was noticable; however I have not had it strung for long periods of time. I doubt that it would though 'cause the limbs are still quite sturdy right out to the end.
As I said at the beginning of this thread............I'm FAR from an expert when it comes to making a bow; I'm just happy that it didn't turn into 4 or 5 hours of kindling :grin:

That's a bit funny, really, because I've always heard it called set. If you'd said string follow I would have had to ask you what you meant. Interesting how the same thing can have such different names to different people, I see that in more than just this example.

I just ordered a bow for my second son Josua(14). I will pick it up on the 11th of June. They have traditional bow shooting at school. He is SOOO excited he finds it difficult to sleep.
