Many years ago my son killed a red fox which was raiding his rabbit house. He surprised me by presenting me with a neat shooting pouch made from the skin. I was and am impressed with the inventiveness of his method. He was not into or knowledgeable about the history we reenact, he just figured it out on his own. He folded the entire skin, ran the back legs through to make attachments for the shoulder strap and crossed the front legs over for a retainer of the flap, which is the head. I don't know how he processed the skin, but it is still in good shape, not losing any fur after 25 years. A couple of pictures, and a link to a short album.
