OK you lost me. Did you buy the rifle new or used? I've never seen a Pedersoli that came with a vent line that required a Allen/hex head to remove.

@vulture

I would also like to add that I currently own 1 Traditions, 1 Investarm, 1 T/C, 4 Pedersoli's that all have some variation of a patent breech. Other than needing to run a sub caliber brush/jag into the patent breech to ensure they are clean after pumping soapy water through them, I NEVER have a problem with them. No ignition issues, no rust, not hard to clean, no nothing. The patent breech or similar breech systems is not a 'bad' thing like some make them out to be.

An additional word on my previous post, factory Pedersoli vent liners have a slot for a hollow ground regular screw driver. Not an Allen/hex head. Nothing wrong with Pedersoli stainless or berillium bronze liners, I just like Treso liners. They ALL need drilled out to 1/16" or sometimes even touch larger.

Bought this used, came with vent liner I described, have seen these liners for sale at several well know venders. They are great when it comes to installation, but not so when it comes to use. Made by RMC I believe. Treso and other like designs are much better, in my opinion.
