Our walmart usually have them every year at some point and our Dunhams has had them the last 2 years as well. Dunhams had them the last time I was there but our walmart had not as of yet.
I have never had an issue w/them, either regular or magnumBut are these CCIs as reliable as they used to be?
Dunhams here had some a couple months ago but for $11.00 per tinOur walmart usually have them every year at some point and our Dunhams has had them the last 2 years as well. Dunhams had them the last time I was there but our walmart had not as of yet.
Yeah, now that I think about it, they were 9 and change but i believe magnums. May not be the price to stock up on but will at least keep you shooting till you can find cheaper.Dunhams here had some a couple months ago but for $11.00 per tin

Please, someone tell me, does Walmart only sell such items in rural locations? Anywhere near a "big city" you can only find air-gun stuff, which is fine, but I'm in SE PA and never see Caps. I do know they stock stores depending upon location and needs.Went to Walmart today and on a hunch, decided to go check sporting goods.
I was surprised to see the muzzle loading display up already. And I almost went into shock when I saw CCI number 11 percussions caps stocked on the shelf. I resisted the urge to be "that guy" and panic by every one of them...
I was even more surprised to see that they were only $5 and some change for the standard 100 count tin. I ended up only buying three of them because I already have around 700 caps.
So I guess the rumors about CCI going into production in June are true. Does look like brand new stock to me.
I don't know if Walmart does their own thing in each store as far as when they set up the display.... But I'm in Southwest Florida.
So get out there and check your Walmart and remember to leave a few for the other poor *******s who can't find any.
I still can't hardly believe I found them!
Flabbergasting photo! Wow!

I hear ya. I hate going to town too. Or even leaving my little property for that matter. But I just might have to hit the wally world in a couple days and see. Thanks for the update, SB. I'd rather get hit in the head with a 2X4 than to have to go to town but sometimes its necessary to go there anyway. I'll check next time I go.
I shoot them in my Lyman's guns and Traditions....they work great. But are these CCIs as reliable as they used to be?
Since I started shooting black powder in about 2014 they have always gone bang for me. I suspect a lot of percussion cap misfires might be due to the nipples and the amount of oil in the gun versus the actual percussion cap itself? But are these CCIs as reliable as they used to be?
Mehybee?None of the Walmarts around here stock anything muzzleloader related. Looking at their website and app, I didn't find anything with a cursorary search. Maybe I need to go in store and see if they can order some for pickup for me.
