This week a bought a little brass barreled .69 caliber CVA blunderbus at a flea market. I always wanted a blunderbus, but I really didn't want to pay to have a custom one made.

This one is clean, looks like a factory put-together, not a kit gun. The appointments (butt plate, side-plate, etc) aren't really historically correct. I read back in the 80's about some of the brass barrelled guns having catastrophic failures and blowing up, so if I ever get around to shooting it, I will use very mild loads.

Any other members ever have one?

Good idea, keep the loads mild, also use Fg or FFg if you can...

FFFg as a main charge will have higher pressure...

Blunderbuss chooting can be fun, works with both shot and/or ball...
