This type of unusual firearm is pictured in "Firearms Curiosa" by Winant, pages 151, 152. This example appers to be un-fired (quite naturally). It is made of steel, the 1 1/2" .50 cal. barrel being rived to a steel plate 6 3/4 inches by 2 3/4. The percussion lock of the same type of steel as the backplate, and not an add on. The screws and springs although very strong, appear old and correct. These pistols were designed to be worn on the the back of a wide belt, with a lanyard running from the trigger around the body and down the sleeve of the user. A pull on the lanyard fired the gun at anyone threatening the owner from the back.

How do you pull the trigger? :haha: :haha: :haha: :winking:

I bet when that thing went off, you would get a warm feeling all over... :winking:

"Warm feeling all over..." funnnnnny! :haha:
I'll bet that sucker would ruin a new suit in a hurry ::.

If this thing is not deadly enough, guess where the victim is getting shot? :shocking: ::

Especially if the shooter is short... :winking:

I'm squrimming in my chair just thinking about it...
