Not familiar with them at all. This thread could be 'instructional."I don't know much about them but I would caution you that they are illegal to carry in many localities.
The shape is the main difference. The push dagger looks like a T, a regular dagger looks like a “normal” knife. A dagger is usually sharpened on both edges. So If they were carried in sheaths like a regular knife what's the difference between a push dagger and a regular dagger?
Sanity and the legal system are not always so well aligned.I would think any sane judge (or jury or policeman) would realize it's the blade that does the damage and not the handle.
The politicians who write the laws are not saneI would think any sane judge (or jury or policeman) would realize it's the blade that does the damage and not the handle.
I agree, but the politicians don't write much stuff themselves. They take their written bills from lobbyists that want something, and when the contribution is enough, the pols introduce the bills. The politicians who write the laws are not sane
Is there an actual company called Cold Steel or are you referring to a homemade version constructed from a milder steel?cold steel makes several different types of inexpensive push daggers. i carry one around my neck on a chain as a backup weapon.
cold steel is a company that makes knives, hawks, and various other items. Is there an actual company called Cold Steel or are you referring to a homemade version constructed from a milder steel?
Cold Steel is a maker of high quality knives for EDC as well as much larger and more aggressive styles. Push daggers are illegal mostly because they are double edged. Knives with a single edge are considered working knives (depends on size too) but a double edged knife is considered designed to be a weapon. Is there an actual company called Cold Steel or are you referring to a homemade version constructed from a milder steel?
