I have to rebuild the front end of the trigger guard. The factory screw location is in the cutout for the trigger assembly leaving only a couple screw threads holding. I was having a brain fart last nite. I do have the front trigger guard machine screw. What got me going was what is clearly a wood screw hole in the stock which protrudes into the barrel channel.

Did you make the grip cap and spine (for want of a better word). The color is a big improvement also

Yea there i nothing online. The spine/backstrap is there to cover-up a mistake in my checkering layout. I had planned on just a shield like originals.

How did you affix the front sight. I see those little brass sights on the derringers and colonial pistols that have a small brass post sticking out of the bottom of the sight. Was told you drill an undersized hole and press fit the sight post into the undersize hole. Curious. Seems like the sight would move if you don't solder it.
