Thanks for your reply. The touchhole intrusion has been fixed, the whole fowler has been redone... nearly completely. I received it in the white.. but that’s a whole other story. I’ havnt had the time to shoot it yet, I am going to do so this week. The original builder of the fowler said he used many many colrain barrels and is pretty sure that’s the barrel he used. It just kind of threw me off when I miced it at .606.
When you say you “nick” the cards, are you cutting a slice in it to allow the air to escape as you force the load down the barrel?

Try a little nick to let the air out as you load. If the card is way too big then you may have to cut a radius cut to the center to let the outer edges overlap to fit in your restrictive bore. Now I'm going to have to measure my 20 gauge (not a Colerain).

I measured the bore in my TVM (pre Matt Avance) 20 gauge American Fowler. The diameter of the bore at the muzzle is 0.618. I;m ot sure who made this barrel for Garner at the time. Maybe Longhammock???

I also have one of the Loyalist Arms Light Infantry Fusils with the non-standard 20 gauge.

Thanks for the info and I’ll try and load the regular way first... then radius cut if needed. I’ll report back after I shoot it a few times.
