Hi,

I tried a couple of searches but didn't get lucky. Can someone tell me how to interpret Traditions dot matrix code to determine date of manufacture? I have a Crockett rifle and I am trying to figure out when it was made.

TIA

John

Your Crockett has a dot matrix code marked on it?

I don't think the square dot matrix codes were in use before 2006 so if your gun has one, it most likely was made after then.

The Traditions Crockett rifle has been in production since 2000. Being that it is made in Spain, the proof date codes in the square box on the Italian rifles aren't used on the guns.

Thanks. I was hoping that convoluted code they put on the barrel contained a manufacture date. :(
