Has anyone ever come across a replica 1858 Remington that was engraved Remington & Sons Ilion New York USA on top of the barrel and had the serial number on both the side of the cylinder and on the grip frame. No visible Italian marking I can see and have not been able to find any info anywhere. Thanks ya'll.

Yes but they were intentionally defarbed.
I had to buy it to see what it actually is so will post pic's when it arrives to see if anyone has thoughts. Hard to see in the pic's from the listing but owner says right side of barrel is marked New Model 1859, bottom of grip has stylized "R" and serial # 465100 that is also stamped on cylinder, also a stylized cartouche possibly JGZ in a circle bottom of left grip panel. All the info the seller had was part of an estate and unable to find very little info. More to folow later.
