Not a T/C Hawken. It may have begun life as a T/C Renegade. Whether or not it was a factory finished or special offering, I'm sure someone here will know. I have never seen one like it. Especially the two-tone hammer. The stock does not appear to be factory finished but again, Fox River did offerings that were not widely advertised. Is the barrel stamped Hawken? If so, my guess is someone took a 1" T/C Hawken barrel in .54 caliber and mated it to a Renegade stock and furnishings. The front sight also does not appear to be a standard "Partridge" style sight found on the Renegade.

The other possibility, a personally customized and assembled Renegade kit.

If the barrel serial number has a K pre-fix, and you can make out a K in the stock channel, it was a kit rifle.

How was that gray/silver like finish applied?

Agree, definitely not a Hawken. Older barrel and lock. Stock may be ‘old’, but not one of the earliest ones.

Does the serial number on the barrel begin with a K? And is there a K stamped in the stock’s barrel channel? The K would indicate the those parts came from a kit.

Thank you, I could not remember the name, they were a limited run rifle and bring premium prices.

That is definitely a TC sight on the barrel, TC triggers and lock.

That is a TC cougar

It's not a Cougar. They were a variation of the Hawken with nickel furniture and a big 'Cougar' stamp on the side of the barrel and a silver medallion in the side of the buttstock. This is a Renegade with the case-colors stripped from the lock & the blue stripped from the wedge escutcheons and buttplate. If you'll look you can see the hammer spur still has the case colors on it.

Thats aftermarket personalized finish on a TC Renegade. Someone "customized" The 2-tone hammer is dead giveaway. Looks like spray paint to me from photos.

I just looked at some more images of it on the seller's website. The barrel does not have a C prefix.

If you look at the OP's image with the escutcheon, look how the two screws are misaligned and not properly installed.

I think what you will receive is a rifle that began life as a .54 caliber T/C Renegade. The stock has been refinished, the bluing removed from the Butt plate and left in the white, and the blackened finish either removed from the trigger guard, escutcheons, and screws, or painted silver/grey or coated. The lock as well. Most likely an attempt by a previous owner to personalize the rifle.

If you like it that way great. Enjoy it. Or you can search evil Bay for the correct T/C Renegade parts (plenty out there) and restore it to its original look/specs.

You've got a nice rifle there. While it is nice to know what you have exactly it really only matters if you need a replacement part. Not to minimalize that but the point it to take it out and have great time while smelling smoke! I hope you get many years of enjoyment out of it like e everyone here has.
