Is it possible that seating a conical HARDER (like mashing it in there) would cause a cleaner powder burn? (meaning less fowling) I also bumped the powder charge by 10 to 110 grns. Or is it my imagination that the intermitint cleaning patch come out a little cleaner? Shooting a .50 cal New Englander for this one. :hmm:
Please and Thank You....

Well, you've introduced 2 variables there so hard to say which one is making a cleaner burn....possibly both. Black powder does like to be compressed some. Try shooting with the 10 extra grains and light seating and see what you come up with.
