Harbor Freight sells a wooden tool box that I use for my gun cleaning stuff. Has plenty of drawers and compartments and despite coming from China, is fairly well made. I have thought about making something similar out of the oak flooring I salvaged years ago, but that would make for a very heavy box. Anyway here's the picture:

Whughett, that's a nice range box all right. I had something like that for winter league rimfire match shooting many years ago.
It’s an exact copy of a Pychmar 5 pistol range box. I wore that box out then made two, one from pine and this one from oak.
This one has the main cavity taken up by a removable box that holds all the stuff needed for a day at the range shooting percussion revolvers. If desired the interior box can be replaced with a tray holding five hand guns.

That's a knockoff of a Gerstner tool chest. Wonder if it's made by the same Chinese company that makes the Gerstner boxes now.

I have one of these boxes. They are made overseas for Gerstner. They are very nice, especially for the money. Gerstner still makes their regular line in Ohio. A good number of older shooters at Canal Fulton used Gerstner chest for shooting boxes, either ones they used in their workplaces or boxes picked up from acquaintances or garage sales.
