Assuming you have a complete rifle, powder, patch, & ball, rank the top shooting accessories you'd take with you for a day hunt (or range trip)...rank them if you could only take one, then, if you could take two, etc...for me, it would be:
1) Jag
2) Ball Puller
3) T-handle or rawhide thong
4) Knife
5) Spare Flint/leather
6) Jaw screw tightner
7) Cleaning patches
8) Short starter

I know this doesn't sound like much, but I always make sure I have some water available. One of my first outings, I got the jagged rod stuck and dribbled some water down the bore and in a minute it was free.

Regards, sse

The following is stuff I have in my bag, if hunting or on a trail walk shoot, or in my range box if shooting that way:
1) Short starter
2) Spare flints
3) Knapping hammer/screwdriver combo
4) Jag
5) Cleaning patches
6) Small bottle of cleaning solvent
7) T-handle
8) Fouling scraper
9) Pipe cleaners
10) Ball puller
11) Foam ear plugs

For hunting

1 knife
2 tin of bear grease
3 worm or jag ... shooting patch material will due
4 xtra flint&leather...if useing spauls the one in gun may have 2or3 good sides
5 turn screw...knife could suffice
6 powder measure...ball in palm covered will due if need be, this item is usually attatched to horn so would probably be part of powder supply.

What everybody else said but add the multi-tool like the Gerber, Schrade, or whatever brand. I won't be without one, period incorrect or not.
Might add a 'hawk too.

To the range
