Was going through boxes last night looking for mold blocks for the .52 (still unpacking after ten months :rotf: ) and came across the RCBS 45 caliber 280 grain minie, picked up for a black powder cartridge work up that got put on hold by moving. It's heavier than the Lyman version and should be easier to shoot accurately.
Any yall used the RCBS minie?
What twist?
Any results to share?

Hi,
I have one and it works very well in a Vincent rifle that I have.
It really excels at longer distance shooting, and is very good at metal targets.
It has enough power to slam them down, even at 150 yards. A round ball has a hard time hitting at that distance, and has little power.
BUT with mine, I must damp wipe between shots, and follow a regimental reloading practice to be consistent.
No big deal, but you have to be exact, to win.
I size mine .001" under bore diameter.
Fred
