Didt realize you were another year young! Happy birthday Dutch! I am forever grateful your contributions to my knowledge of this sport! (not to mention you seem to be a real good guy!)

Clyde,
Are you sure it is a compliment
Controverseys that you seem to get involved in are thought provoking and that is a good thing.
It just occurred to me that most of my subscribers do not seem to be members of their Forum..
When you are fussing with a new hobby and you are all alone you tend to give up more readily.
When you join the Forum you find you are not the only idiot out there and a sense of brotherhood grows and the interest continues.

I am inclined to believe that the majority of ML rifles in this country stand corroding in closets and basements, neglected and unused because the owner didn't know how to load and maintain them and didn't really care because he had no success.

When I was spending way too much time at the range I would see a person with a new T/C rifle or such trying to pound that 4th or 5th shot down the residue filled barrel I recognized someone who would drop out before too long and would try to help.

as I am certain all or most of you do as well

We compete with each other but we don't try to hold anyone back.

Thank You Adui,
I'm the nicest guy I know with the possible exception of the other Forum Members.
Yes, Let's cool the birthday greetings.
Spent the weekend in the hospital and then had an event at the dialysis center yesterday, I would like to ignore the passing time as much as can be achieved.

All that is over.

I don't know how to start something new
so Here goes,
I got a new subscriber from Germany a week or so ago and he wrote, me, all excited about getting started learning to shoot his new rifle. Only two more months to be allowed to do this, but he will need an Explosives Licencebefore he can buy any black powder which will be limited to 2 pounds, He can borrow some from older shooting club members but cannot at this point legally load his own rifle. These clubs have annual dues as low as #600 and other members might load his rifle for him.
When he does get his powder he will keep it in a Gov't approved locked container which will be subject to surprise inspections there are other niggling delays, inspections and rules all of which cannot be broken or all your guns and other related equipment will be confiscated.

If you get all the rights possible and for some reason have to leave the club for a while, all those rights will vanish.
Before you get into the excitement of this new sport it's a good idea to connect with a lawyer to help ease you through into this wonderland of brotherhood and

also to aid in your defense should forget some small detail and face legal charges.
I understand that if you are interested in shooting cartridge type rifles it get really complicated.

Makes you kind of jealous doesn't it.
