Hey Mazo Kid. Yes the p. p. finish will fade out over time and become lighter in color. However, since antler is porous, the color will last for quite a while.

On a different note, the p. p. finish on cow horn will fade rather quickly.

From my own experience, Rit dye and leather dye have proven to be the longer lasting and non changing finish on antler.
