Anyone know a phone # or website that offers reboring? I bought a tc new englander .54 and the bore is shot. If TC doesnt warrant the barrel im either forced to spend $140 for a .54 barrel with the crappy QLA or spend $175 for a 12g barrel. I figured if i could have this .54 rebored to .56 i'd be happy.

Bobby Hoyt does reboring. I don't think you will save a lot of money having it done, over buying a new barrel, but you can contact him. I don't have an address, but someone here does. He was mentioned a little while ago in another post. You might do a search for his name, here.

Bob Hoyt 1-717-642-6696. Good luck getting him to answer the phone though. He will not answer if he is busy. Try him around noon, and just keep trying.

Just to throw in my $.02. About 2 years ago, I picked up a NIB 54 barrel for my New Englander from Numrich Arms for $79. I don't think they have one right now, but they do come into lots of parts from auctions, gunstore sellouts, etc. If you don't need a new barrel right this minute, you might check their site for a while to see what they get in. Also, if you go the boring route, you might consider going up to a 58, or even 62. Let us know what you decide.

If you buy a barrel from the TC custom shop tell them you don't want the QLA.They won't machine it in there if you don't want it.
