Recommended revolver parts to upgrade or have as spares?

Parts are not that expensive. You have gotten plenty of good recommendations on what to get and where to get them. They are not always available so I'd say get whatever you can when you can. They will only go up in price and possibly down in availability in the future.

If I may ask.. Does anyone know if the internal linkage parts (hand &spring, bolt, trigger spring etc..) for Uberti Army .44 are the same size as a Navy .36?

I suspect they are the same as it would be inefficient from a machining perspective to have different sizes, but I have occasionally been incorrect in my life.

I think everything but the actual triggers are the same. Different length between army and navy.

Whatever parts you decide to obtain, I'd suggest also getting a copy of Kuhnhausen's The Colt Single Action Revolvers: A Shop Manual. That way you'll have a good reference and guide to fitting the parts.

Go to the VTI website and compare part numbers between the 1851 model and the 1860 model. It's been awhile since I've checked Taylors or Cimarron's sites, but believe they also show that aspect. I've called all three sites in the past, all very helpful employee's. You'll be surprised at the number of parts that carry the same part number between the two models. The 1860 is basically an improved 1851 with different barrel, rammer, grip frame, and cylinder (toss in the frame cutout for the rebated cylinder of the 44 caliber 1860). An exception can be made for the Pietta 1851 Navy model chambered in 44 caliber, it sports the 1860 model style frame for the rebated 44 caliber cylinder, have that revolver and like it as well as my 1860 Army, even better than my regular 1851/1862 frame Navy 36 caliber models.
