I bought most of my basic needs last Saturday at Bass Pro Shop. I was in a hurry so I could get out shooting Sunday- didn't happen.
The brand of products I bought is Red Head.
Are these products good, just OK, or what? I am not familiar with them, like I am Tipton, etc.
I mainly want to know if these are good or if I made a mistake and need to replace them before I run into problems.
Thanks,
Jim

Most common ML supplies are made by just a few industry manufacturers...then they establish customer contracts with companies like TC, RedHead, Cabelas, CVA, etc, etc, who market them under their company name.

For example, there's not a big enough market for every company to invest in a manufacturing operation to make bags of precut, prelubed shooting patches...they're marketed under dozens of company names but the only manufacturer I know that makes them today is OxYoke

I buy a lot of Redhead products, it is Bass Pro Shop's in house brand. As such it means BPS has contracted with other manufacturer's to purchase a set number at a set price, by guarenteeing a manufacturer a certain number of units of each item they can get discounted pricing. Sometimes, the quality might be a bit below a company's own branded item, but not much that I have ever noticed. Bought a pair of Redhead hunting boots one time for $20, lasted longer than a pair of redwings I paid $100 for. I am not afraid to buy and use most any Redhead product and no I do not work for BPS.

I used to live pretty close to a Bass Pro store. Throughout the years I bought several Redhead products (muzzleloading accessories and other stuff). Never had a problem.

Thanks guys.
Huntin, I bought a cylinder flask, measure, capper, jags, and some other stuff like powder, balls, patches.
All I had was the rifle.

my nearest b/p store is in houston. i caught wind they werte gonna build a store here in s.a.,sure wish theyd hurry up :shake:

It does come in handy sometimes. I had looked for years for a 6' worm rod with a pistol grip. All I could find had the longer butt. Bass Pro had a lot, and they stock St Croix rods.
It's like going to a bass fishing candy store.
Their hunting dept. is prety good, but their fishing dept. is the best.
Now I'll have a Cabela's close very soon as well.
Life is good!
Jim
