I beat him to it a couple of years ago. It works, but not well. Too much wobble in mine.

One could bolt that sucker down to a piece of 2x10. Then cut a channel in a piece of 2x4 or 4x4, line it with leather or felt, and it just might work pretty good.

Laugh all you want, but it works. Rest is velcroed to the vice so it is removable at any time. Nop wobble on mine

I made my first one just like that back in the late 90's got a lot of laughs but worked excellent
