A buddy of mine is looking to get a tipi, and was wondering if anyone has had any good or bad luck with reliable. Can't say as I have ever heard of them myself.

thanks,

If your want to see others including Reliable..go to the web site. I cannot say if they are "reliable" or not. But you can compare their site to others. I preferre to go with tipi makers who mostly do tipis. Also it depends on the time you want to spend in the lodge, where it is set up, and weather conditions. Then you get into materials.

I have a wedge myself, but by pard has a Spring Valley 14' tipi an he really likes it.Its well made from what I can see.

Are they still in business-Spring Valley? Their site has been down over a year. Have called and talked to them about 6 or months ago...since then, nothing.

Re: Spring Valley

Al & Joyce (owners) have retired and are no longer making new lodges. :( They will, however, help you out if you have problems with, or questions about, one of their lodges. Last I heard, they were talking to someone to take it over, but I haven't heard any more than that. That was about a year ago. Since we've been pretty good customers, and they said they would let us know if the sale went through, I would expect to hear from them regarding such as soon as it happened. There's been nothing yet.

I have a Nomadics tipi and am more than happy. 20 footer, been up for 5 years and going strong. Good luck, you'll love whatever you get.
