Hey,

Does anyone have any suggestions on removing pitting from this area on a CVA Derringer? The shape makes it really akward to get any kind of file or sand paper on it. What kind of pitting (if any) is acceptable if I'll be finishing with LMF?

If the metal is pitted, the only way to remove the pits would be to remove metal. Could use a scotch brite pad and a bit of elbow grease to clean the pits, but they would still remain.
Not the end of the world though. Just wasn't cared for proper.

Install a flash cup and you will not see the pitting. The come in brass or german silver.
