Remove sticky residue off ball block?

Got a maple ball loading block that had a sticker on it. What do I use to remove the residue? Want to try aqua fortis and not sure if the residue will interfere with it and oil finish

nail polish remover if its handy. if she won't let you use it get some acetone. neither will affect the AF. i wash off inletting black all the time with acetone or lacquer thinner.
