Can anyone give me the breech plug diameter and thread size for a T/C Renegade? I am using the barrel for an underhammer project and need to make a breech plug to fit. 54 cal 1" diameter barrel. Thanks for the help- Bruce H

IIRC the original plug threads were 11/16X14 however, the possibility of removing this in a home shop is very unlikely. T/C winds these in with a huge mechanically operated tool. Even with heat/penetrating oil/ pipe-externer on wrench handle, it will not come out. You may be able to send it to the T/C factory but you best bet is to cut the old breech off and re-thread. Track of the Wolf offers this service for a very reasonable price. Call them and tell them what you have in mind and save yourself a lot of grief.

Curator- thank you for the information and the help.I appreciate it. Bruce H
