Hello all,
I was wondering if anyone has any experience with the Dixie Whitworth Military SharpShooters'Rifle offered by Dixie Gun Works? The Parker Hale they offer is $1500.00, which I can't afford. But the one mentioned above is $1095.00, a bit better. Is it a very good rifle? I wonder how accurate it is. The originals were supposed to be super accurate.
Any into or ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Pistolero

I have a older Parker Hale. Whitworths are fun to shoot, but require a bit more attention than other ML's. The Dixie is a good repro, I've heard and will be a lot of fun if you take the time to get to know it. With the right bullet and load they are very accurate long range rifles. Recoil is high for ML's but not worse than many modern guns. It's about like a 7mm mag. There are a lot of members here that are much more qualified to help you should you get yourself one. You can look at some previous threads here and learn a lot.

i own it's euroarms cousin whitworth, i love it. the only differance is the stamp on the barrel. PT me and i will tell you anything you want to know, if you decide to buy one, i just posted the info for my midrange match this summer, it's in the public events section of the forum.
