I've been searching for a nice Quality Blunderbuss what are my options? so far I've seen only the India imported ones. Do any of the Italian companies produce a blunderbuss? I'm very happy with the quality of my Armi Sport Enfield I wish they made one... I might just have to settle for an Indian one if there's no other option...

Pecatonica and stonewallcreek have parts sets, as does sitting fox. Other than that, india is the manufacturer of completed blunderbuss reproductions.

Stonewall Creek Outfitters has the best kit available at this time. Far better components than the others mentioned and the curry guns are out of the question IMHO.

The Rifle shoppe does have a great looking kit. You want to call them first and make sure EVERYTHING is in stock. That way you should be able to receive it in 1-2 MONTHS. Otherwise, like the Captain says, you could wait months - or even 1-2 years to receive it. Good luck. Rick.

Stonewall creek, probably the best bang for the buck parts set, and Troy can assemble it for a fee. Steel or brass barrel by Rayle. very nice.

CVA made one back in the 70s and you might be able to fnd one of these used. It had a brass barrel and I think it was Spanish. I seem to remmeber Dixie having one too and I'm not sure if it was basicly the same gun or not.

an other option it's to build your own blunderbuss with several parts as lock, hammer,as you want .
it all depends on your hands, the barrel can be made from a round steel or bronze with ”‹”‹lathe and milling machine, the trigger with the flat steel, the buttplate of a block of steel or bronze, blank from a block of wood (walnut, beech,...),and so on.

as you can see, everything is possible.

Try Sitting Fox. He has some quality blunderbus for sale:http://www.sittingfoxmuzzleloaders.com/k/K39%20Musketoon%20Blunderbus/K39%20Musketoon%20Blunderbuss.htm
