Hello everyone,

I am fashioning the stock forend on an original Potsdam 1809 percussion musket. Everything forward of the first barrel band. I wanted to ask if anyone who had an original could tell me the distance between each of the three barrel bands? As well as how much the wood protrudes into the front barrel band?

I could eyeball it but I am worried it will look slightly off. I thought it would be worth a try asking! Thanks

That would be a great question for a North South Skirmish Association member who has one. They're legal for Smoothbore class there.
